Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Project Management, or 7+ years in PM/IT.
  • 4-6 years of PM experience focused on information systems including network/server/software deployment.
  • Strong understanding of PM methodologies, tools, and techniques.
  • Experience in project planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
  • Knowledge of SDLC methodologies and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage PM tasks for information systems projects (planning, requirements, scheduling, resource management).
  • Manage projects end-to-end ensuring on-time delivery, scope, and budget.
  • Define scope by analyzing requirements and identifying stakeholders; liaison with DT teams.
  • Prepare and monitor budgets and monitor costs for cost-effectiveness.
  • Coordinate IT team work and track progress to meet deadlines within budget.
  • Identify, track and manage risks, issues, changes, and dependencies; escalate as needed.
  • Conduct status meetings and provide updates to senior management and sponsors.

Job Description

The Senior Project Manager role plays a critical part in delivering high-qualityinformation systems-specific projects using Waterfall methodologies. As a mid-level professional with extensiveknowledge and experience in project management principles and information systems leading practices, theincumbent will be responsible for overseeing and managing the execution of various information systemsprojects. The incumbent in this role will be responsible for identifying project requirements, setting projectobjectives, and identifying project DT stakeholders. They will work closely with key stakeholders across theorganization, including technical teams, business teams, application programmers, and leaders. The incumbent will coordinate work performed by DT stakeholders by defining project requirements, performing feasibility andneeds/impact assessments and will work with the team to implement new project management tools and techniques. This role requires expertise in project management and information system methodologies. Theincumbent will ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.They will be responsible for ensuring that they have the necessary skills, resources, and support to successfullycomplete projects.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain project management tasks for internal information systems-specific projects, includingproject planning, defining requirements, scheduling, tracking, and resource management tools
  • Manage projects from start to finish, ensuring successful completion on schedule, within budget, and with high-quality deliverables
  • Establish project scope by analyzing project requirements, setting project objectives, and identifying projectstakeholders
  • Prepare and monitor project budgets and monitor project costsin order toensure cost-effectiveness
  • Coordinate and track work performed by IT project team members to ensure completion on time and withinbudget
  • Identify, track, and manage project risks, issues, changes, and dependencies and elevate as required
  • Conduct regular project meetings and provide status updates to senior management, key stakeholders, andproject sponsors including project status, budget, progress, risks, and scope
  • Develop and implement project quality control and quality assurance processes
  • Liaise with technical and business stakeholders to ensure alignment of project goals and objectives
  • Keep up-to-date with emerging trends and best practices in project management methodologies, informationsystems, and technologies

This is not a remote position and will report to our Global Headquarters in downtown Cleveland, OH.

This position is not eligible for sponsorship for work authorization now or in the future, including conversion to H1-B visa.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Project Management, or in lieu of a degree, at least 7 years of experience in the field of project management or Information Technology
  • 4-6 years of experience in project management with a focus on information systems (ideally involving network, server, or software implementation and upgrades, and/or PC deployment
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques
  • Experience in project planning, scheduling, and budgeting
  • Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • In-depth knowledge of project management tools such as Microsoft Project, JIRA, and Confluence

Preferred
  • Certified Project Management Professional (PMP), or CAPM
  • Experience managing or implementing retail IT systems including Point of Sale, Merchandise Management, IBM Sterling Order Management preferred with emphasis on frontend application (Store Engagement)
  • Knowledge of retail business process mapping for Order orchestration including fulfillment, replenishment, and inventory management
  • Experience with commercial software including Oracle Retail, IBM Sterling, and Atlassian tools a plus
