Job Description:

The Opportunity:

This IT Senior Data Specialist position offers an excellent opportunity to enhance your technical eDiscovery experience while leading junior staff with similar but less complex functions. This senior-level role involves following eDiscovery best practices, verifying complex client requests, quality checking database loads and deliverables, and using applications like Relativity Processing, NUIX, and encryption software. On-the-job training will be provided. This position is ideal for eDiscovery IT professionals seeking to develop technical skills and leadership experience. You will work with various data types and manipulate large data sets through complex workflows. Opportunities to learn scripting languages such as PERL and Python will be available. Responsibilities:

  • Provide oversight for Data Specialists performing file manipulation, loading, conversion, exports, and quality checks.
  • Develop and modify methodologies for file manipulation using commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) products and litigation support applications.
  • Perform quality assurance for all eDiscovery processing services.
  • Ensure incoming productions meet ESI specifications and notify the EFP Manager of any deficiencies.
  • Recommend process improvements to ensure high quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of litigation discovery processes and the EDRM workflow.
  • Understanding of the government’s IT environment, including networks, PC, and server applications.
  • Proficiency with Windows, document review software, and encryption techniques.
  • Strong experience with Relativity and Nuix.
  • Minimum five years’ experience in eDiscovery roles, including file processing, data conversion, data culling, quality assurance, database loads, and data analysis.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field preferred.
  • coursework in programming, systems administration, and database management.
  • Ability to perform quality control analysis and report issues.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Customer-focused, professional attitude, and on-site work capability.
