Job summary

AgroLiquid is seeking an IT Security & Systems Architect to strengthen security across systems, infrastructure, and data. This onsite role in St. Johns, MI requires collaboration, ownership and day‑to‑day operational support.

You will lead security across access controls, monitoring, incident response and vulnerability management, while coordinating with multiple teams to align security with business growth and architecture needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of cybersecurity/IT security experience.
• Incident response leadership or strong incident coordination experience.
• Ability to read and interpret security logs and alerts.
• Experience with EDR, MDR, or XDR.
• Experience with vulnerability management tools and processes.
• Experience with network security concepts and enterprise networks.
• Experience with disaster recovery and identity administration (Microsoft Entra).
• Familiarity with GPOs and secure endpoint configuration.
• Willingness to be onsite daily in St. Johns, MI; travel up to 10%.

AgroLiquid is seeking an IT Security & Systems Architect to support and strengthen the security of our systems, infrastructure, and data. This is a fully onsite role based in St. Johns, Michigan (remote is not available for this position).

As a smaller, team-oriented organization, this role requires strong collaboration across teams. Success in this position means building relationships, communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical teams, and being present to support day‑to‑day operations. You will work closely with multiple teams across the business, gaining visibility and influence in how security supports company growth. This role is ideal for someone who values collaboration, ownership, and being a key contributor.

Top Key Responsibilities:

• Security & Access: Oversee system security and access, including user accounts, devices, and network configurations
• Operations Monitoring: Maintain and monitor security tools such as endpoint protection, IAM systems, and cloud security platforms
• Incident Response: Respond to and triage security alerts, including coordinating incident response, escalation, communications, documentation, initial containment, post incident actions, and lessons learned.
• Vulnerability Management: Maintain cybersecurity roadmap inputs for vulnerability management, asset management, configuration standards, system hardening, technical controls, and security program maturity.
• Asset & Configuration Management: Evaluate, assess, recommend, design, deploy, and govern current and future technology architecture to improve user experience, expand security controls, and support integration needs.
• User Experience: Lead security awareness training and help build a culture of security across the organization. Partner with internal teams and external vendors to support secure operations and ongoing improvements

What we’re looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
• 7+ years of cybersecurity / IT security experience
• Incident response leadership or strong incident coordination experience
• Ability to read and interpret security logs and alerts
• Experience with EDR, Managed Detection and Response (MDR), or Extended Detection and Response (XDR)
• Experience with vulnerability management tools and processes
• Experience with network security concepts and enterprise network environments
• Experience with disaster recovery
• Experience with Microsoft Entra / identity administration
• Experience with Group Policy Objects (GPOs) / secure endpoint configuration
• Experience with NIST and CIS control implementation or operational support
• Willingness to be onsite daily in St. Johns, MI and actively engage with team members
• Ability to travel up to 10% as needed
