Duties And Responsibilities

• Configure and monitor NetIQ
• Maintain intermediate to expert knowledge of firewalls
• Maintain intermediate to expert knowledge of IDS/IPS systems
• Maintain intermediate to expert knowledge of virus protection and content filtering
• Maintain intermediate to expert knowledge of security policies
• Apply security standards and policies effectively
• Understand and implement disaster recovery and business continuity practices
• Manage operating systems and enterprise patching
• Understand protocols such as SNMP, HTTP, HTTPS, SMTP, NTP, LDAP, KERBEROS, RADIUS, and FTP
• Understand business practices and intellectual property considerations
• Follow and support change management practices
• Assist in designing solutions, configuring, or supporting firewalls, content engines, IDS/IPS systems
• Investigate security incidents
• Conduct security audits and recommend risk mitigation strategies
• Configure and support security tools and anti-virus software
• Deploy, integrate, and initially configure new security solutions and enhancements
• Review architectural designs for compliance with security standards
• Perform other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required or currently enrolled with completion within 6 months
• Must be 21 years or older
• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or 4 years’ experience in IT
• Valid and active certifications such as CompTIA Security+, GIAC Security Fundamentals, Microsoft Security, (ISC)² certifications, or CCSP/MCSA (preferred)
• Ability to research IT issues and prioritize tasks effectively
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Customer service orientation and team collaboration skills
• Self-motivated with attention to detail
• Strong technical knowledge of network and PC operating systems
• Willingness to travel, work irregular hours, and obtain necessary licenses

Base Pay

• Range: $70,100 - $95,700, depending on experience and skills
• Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, FSA, EAP, paid time off, 401K, shift differential, and bonuses
