Job summary

Kairos Power is seeking an IT Security Analyst II to bolster security across a multi-site hybrid IT environment, including on-premises systems and SaaS platforms. The role reports to IT security leadership and collaborates with infrastructure, application teams, and external providers to identify and remediate cyber risks.

The ideal candidate has hands-on security operations experience in a regulated or enterprise-scale setting, with familiarity in NIST 800-171, CMMC, or ISO 27001 frameworks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a related field.
• 4+ years in IT security or cybersecurity operations.
• Hands-on experience with SIEM, EDR, vulnerability scanners, firewalls, and ticketing systems.
• Experience supporting identity, access, and endpoint security technologies (MS 365, Entra ID, SSO, MFA).
• Experience with vulnerability management, incident response, or control administration.
• Familiarity with security frameworks (NIST 800-171, CMMC, ISO 27001).
• Professional certifications such as Security+, CySA+, GSEC, SSCP preferred.
• Experience in regulated industries or government/energy sectors preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor networks, systems, cloud platforms, and SaaS apps for security incidents.
• Configure and onboard systems into the enterprise SIEM.
• Investigate and respond to security alerts; escalate as needed.
• Conduct vulnerability management activities and track remediation.
• Collaborate with IT to address security risks across domains.
• Maintain security policy enforcement and documentation.
• Coordinate with vendors and MSPs for security initiatives.
• Produce security metrics and compliance reports.
