Job summary

Autonomous Solutions, Inc. (ASI) is seeking an IT Security Analyst I in Logan, Utah, to protect endpoints and data. You will harden Windows, macOS, and Linux, operate Defender for Endpoint and Sentinel, and review Entra ID access while learning from the Information Security Lead.

This hands-on role is ideal for someone early in their security career who wants real ownership and growth in a fast-moving company focused on autonomous robotics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, cybersecurity, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 0-2 years in IT support, systems administration, or security operations; internships, home labs, and CTFs count.
• Knowledge of Windows, macOS, and Linux security fundamentals.
• Familiarity with Entra ID, Active Directory, and basic networking.
• Exposure to Defender XDR, Sentinel, Intune, or comparable EDR/SIEM tools.
• Some knowledge of KQL, PowerShell, or Python, or a track record of rapid learning tools.
• Understanding of common attack techniques, phishing, and MITRE ATT&CK.
• Strong attention to detail and clear written communication.
• Security+ or similar certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Apply and maintain CIS hardening baselines across Windows, macOS, and Linux devices.
• Triage Defender for Endpoint alerts and support rollout of security features.
• Track endpoint vulnerabilities and drive remediation.
• Tune Sentinel rules and incidents to reduce false positives.
• Run identity and access reviews in Entra ID.
• Hunt threats with KQL and document new detection opportunities.
• Investigate user-reported phishing and suspicious emails.
• Keep runbooks and metrics current for security workflows.

As an IT Security Analyst I, you will protect our people, endpoints, and data by strengthening the security controls we already run and finding threats before they spread. You own endpoint hardening across Windows, macOS, and Linux. You run day-to-day operations in Microsoft Defender for Endpoint and Microsoft Sentinel, review identity access in Entra ID, and investigate phishing and suspicious activity. You learn alongside our Information Security Lead, and the runbooks and detections you build make the whole team faster. This is a hands-on role for someone early in their security career who wants real ownership.

• Some KQL, PowerShell, or Python, or a clear record of learning tools quickly.
• Understanding of common attack techniques, phishing tactics, and MITRE ATT&CK.
• Strong attention to detail and clear written communication.
• Security+, CySA+, SC-200, or SC-900 certification is a plus.
