Job summary

GAF is seeking an SAP Intern to gain end-to-end exposure to data migration and ETL within the S/4HANA transformation program. You will help migrate legacy systems using Alteryx, apply AI-driven data cleansing, and support project tracking with agile methods.

You will work with cross-functional teams to document transformation logic, ensure data quality, and participate in sprint activities while pursuing a relevant degree.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Project Management, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience or coursework with Alteryx Designer (or similar ETL tools) and SQL.
• Exposure to AI/ML tools or Python for basic text processing, data cleansing, or pattern matching.
• Fundamental knowledge of Project Management practices (Agile/Scrum basics, project schedules, task tracking).
• Proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables) and project management platforms (Jira, Confluence, MS Project).
• Strong organizational, communication, and task-prioritization skills.

Responsibilities

• SAP S/4HANA Data Migration: Execute data migration activities for key S/4HANA objects, including source-to-target data mapping, staging, and legacy extraction.
• Alteryx ETL Process Flows: Build and maintain automated Alteryx ETL process flows to extract, transform, and map legacy datasets into S/4HANA-compliant load files.
• AI Innovation for Data Cleansing: Apply AI-driven techniques and ML scripts to streamline data cleanup and resolve legacy data anomalies at scale.
• Data Quality & Validation: Establish automated data quality checks within Alteryx workflows for completeness, accuracy, and referential integrity.
• Project Management Support: Assist project managers with task tracking, status updates, risk logs, and sprint management using Jira or Azure DevOps.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Facilitate cross-functional data validation sessions and document transformation logic with business leads.

SAP Intern (SAP S/4HANA Transformation)

Join our enterprise SAP S/4HANA Transformation team to gain end-to-end exposure to large-scale data migration, automated ETL development, and project coordination. In this role, you will work at the intersection of technical execution and agile project management—helping migrate legacy business systems to S/4HANA using Alteryx, AI innovations for data readiness, and foundational project tracking methods.

Key Responsibilities

• SAP S/4HANA Data Migration: Execute data migration activities for key S/4HANA objects (e.g., Customer/Vendor Master, Finance, Material Master), including source-to-target data mapping, staging, and legacy extraction.
• Alteryx ETL Process Flows: Build and maintain automated Alteryx ETL process flows to extract, transform, and map legacy datasets into S/4HANA-compliant load files and target schemas.
• AI Innovation for Data Cleansing: Apply AI-driven techniques and ML scripts to streamline data cleanup—identifying duplicate master records, standardizing unformatted fields, and resolving legacy data anomalies at scale.
• Data Quality & Validation: Establish automated data quality checks within Alteryx workflows to ensure completeness, accuracy, referential integrity, and business rule validation prior to S/4HANA loading.
• Project Management Support: Assist project managers with task tracking, status updates, risk logs, and sprint management across migration milestones using tools like Jira or Azure DevOps.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Help facilitate cross-functional data validation sessions with business functional leads, documenting transformation logic and recording data cleansing sign-offs.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Project Management, or a related field.

• Exposure to AI/ML tools or Python for basic text processing, data cleansing, or pattern matching.

Base salary and/or rate of pay ranges listed are exclusive of fringe benefits and potential bonuses. Individual compensation offers will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to geographic location, relevant candidate experience and skill, education, and/or qualifications.

Base Hourly Rate: $20.00
