IT RISK STRATEGY ASSOCIATE ANALYST

WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

The Risk Strategy Associate Analyst will support the Risk Strategy team. This role will support the function's strategy, e.g., identification and development of workstreams in partnership with the Head of IT Risk Manager. The role will support the function's FLoD IT Risk routines to ensure appropriate oversight, monitoring, and escalation to senior leadership to ensure efficient risk management. In addition, this function manages and develops risk reporting and metrics to support all FLoD IT Risk routines, including regulatory oversight, issues management, risk advisory updates, escalations of past due / coming due items.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • As a key resource on the team, the individual will receive minimal guidance from manager and/or senior members of the team on the following:
  • Provide primary support related to risk analytics, monitoring, and reporting, assist Risk Verticals (Risk Advisory, Inter-milestone Testing, Assessments & Testing, Regulatory and Audit Exam Coordination, etc.) functions with reporting requests via support of Risk Strategy and Reporting Team Leader and/or Manager.
  • Assist with documenting meeting notes/minutes as applicable to distribute to teams and leaders as needed and as required by Executive Management and the Regulators.
  • Consolidate, analyze, and summarize detailed data in simplified format(s) and reports that are meaningful for management to develop reports/presentations for Senior Management and/or Regulators.
  • Provide analytics and project management support for the development and implementation of risk management analytics.
  • Track, analyze, and report on risks, trends, outcomes, progress, and statuses as needed for presentation and meeting consumption.
  • Take guidance from Managers and be able to turn into deliverables and complete projects as needed.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
  • 1-3 years of experience working at a major financial institution on audit and/or management initiatives programs, including management responsibilities.
  • 1 plus years of experience in IT risk and control.

Additional Qualifications

  • General knowledge of business banking, real estate banking, capital markets, lending, payment operations, etc.
  • Ability to plan, organize, multi-task.
  • Preferred Big Four or Large Regional Firm IT audit or risk management consulting experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Product Suite, SharePoint.
  • Possess problem-solving, analytical (including qualitative analysis), research, and quantitative skills.
  • Strong work ethic, ability to make decisions and work under tight deadlines; goal-oriented and takes initiatives.
  • Effective presentation and communication (verbal and written) skills.

WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?

Compensation Starting base salary: $65,000 - $95,000 per year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This job is eligible for bonus and/or commissions.
