Job summary

Toyota Financial Services is seeking a Manager, IT Risk Governance & Assessment to lead the IT risk management framework and policy documentation across the enterprise. You will partner with senior leaders to proactively identify, assess, and mitigate technology risks while driving governance and regulatory alignment.

In this role, you will shape controls, standards, and incident learnings, mentor staff, and communicate recommendations to executives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Risk Management, or related field
• 7+ years of IT risk management, cybersecurity, compliance, or related discipline in a large, regulated financial services environment
• Experience developing and managing IT risk governance frameworks, policies, standards, and controls such as NIST, ISO 27001, or COBIT
• Strong analytical skills with hands-on risk identification, assessment methodologies, and root-cause analysis
• Ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into clear, practical policies and controls
• Excellent communication skills with senior executives and diverse stakeholders
• Experience mentoring and developing talent and leading teams in a dynamic environment
• Certifications or knowledge that strengthen governance and control design (bonus)

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance IT risk policies, standards, and control frameworks
• Own and maintain enterprise IT Control Library and align controls to regulatory expectations
• Lead enterprise-wide IT risk identification and assessment for emerging risks
• Use incident insights to strengthen controls and improve risk posture
• Lead and develop direct reports and matrix resources
• Build partnerships with CRO/CIO/CISO/CPO/CTO and communicate credible recommendations
• Collaborate with control execution, governance, audit, and compliance teams
• Promote a risk-aware culture through guidance and training
• Monitor regulatory changes and emerging threats to keep the framework current
• Lead with strategic mindset while supporting operational excellence
