Job summary

Myna Partners is seeking an IT Risk & Compliance Manager to guide diverse client engagements across privacy, cybersecurity, and governance programs. You will design, implement, and mature IT risk and compliance initiatives, leveraging frameworks like SOX, GDPR, HIPAA, and NIST. Travel up to 20% may be required.

You will lead project teams, advise on control architectures, and partner with clients to optimize their regulatory compliance posture in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field.
• 5+ years of IT risk, compliance, or audit experience.
• Strong understanding of COBIT, NIST, ISO, HIPAA, GLBA, SOC 2, GDPR, CCPA.

Responsibilities

As an IT Risk & Compliance Manager, you will be supporting multiple projects and tasks concurrently. This may include:

• Project Management - Be responsible for managing multiple projects, ensuring alignment with project objectives, deliverables, timelines, and budget.
• Manage Engagement Teams - Ensure project team members are aware of tasks, provide guidance, ensure the creation of high-quality deliverables, and drive successful outcomes.
• Client Relationships - Strengthen relationships with our clients through interaction, problem resolution, and insightful recommendations.
• Audit & Compliance Support - Guide and assist our clients internal audit and compliance teams with strategic direction and risk management initiatives.
• Designing & Implementing Risk and Compliance Programs - Leverage your expertise in regulatory frameworks such as SOX, CCPA, GDPR, HIPAA, and industry standards including NIST, ISO, and COBIT to help clients build, operationalize, and mature their IT risk and compliance programs.
• Benchmarking Current Practices - Apply your audit, cybersecurity, and compliance expertise to measure client’s alignment and maturity with industry best practices, current and changing global regulations, and other ongoing trends for their improvement.
• Ability to manage team members and drive successful outcomes.
• Guide and coach junior team members to ensure career grow.
• Proven ability to quickly learn new business operations, processes, and procedures.

• Familiarity with tools and technologies such as GRC platforms (e.g., Archer, OneTrust) and ERPs systems (e.g., Oracle ERP). Experience with these tools is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience in IT risk, compliance, or audit.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field.
• Prior consulting experience.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards (e.g., COBIT, NIST, ISO, HIPAA, GLBA, SOC 2, GDPR, CCPA, etc.).
• Strong ability to facilitate and lead various in-person and remote working sessions across a range of topics.
• Superb writing skills with the ability to clearly articulate a problem and solution.
• Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Preferred

• Knowledge of risk management principles and methodologies used to identify, assess, and mitigate organizational risks.
• Professional Certifications (e.g., CISA, CISSP) or similar certifications that demonstrate expertise in cybersecurity, audit, or compliance.
