Job Description:

Baptist Health is seeking an IT Risk & Business Resiliency Lead. This is a remote position requiring residency in KY or IN.

The IT Risk & Business Resiliency Lead plays a vital role in ensuring IT operations comply with HIPAA, CMS, and other relevant regulations. The role involves maintaining knowledge of these requirements as they relate to IT recovery. Reporting to the IT Resiliency Manager, the incumbent will coordinate the development, execution, evaluation, and improvement of IT Crisis Management, business continuity, and recovery plans, especially for high-risk clinical and business services. Responsibilities include coordinating preparedness activities and deliverables for critical risks and services.

Under the guidance of the IT Resiliency Manager, the role involves developing, maintaining, and implementing crisis management, business continuity, and disaster recovery strategies. This includes conducting risk assessments, business impact analyses, selecting strategies, and documenting procedures. The role requires collaboration with IT, Clinical application teams, Clinical Operations, Business Continuity teams, and other stakeholders such as Risk, Facilities, Emergency Management, HR, and Care Teams.

Essential Duties:

  • Conduct risk assessments to identify critical IT operations and systems essential for business continuity during disruptions.
  • Design, implement, and communicate crisis management and disaster recovery strategies, plans, and processes.
  • Ensure the security, integrity, and availability of organizational data and systems to maintain operations during interruptions.
  • Coordinate with vendors and resources required for continuity and recovery efforts.
  • Develop and deploy training, documentation, and communication regarding IT crisis management and disaster recovery procedures.
  • Establish service level recovery standards and agreements with vendors and internal teams, ensuring project milestones and budgets are met.
  • Maintain DR Governance and Command Center Plans for business continuity.
  • Oversee creation and maintenance of Technical Recovery Action Plans.
  • Coordinate recovery exercises to test restoration and continuity procedures.
  • Create recovery plans for full site restoration, including defining the order of operations.
  • Stay updated on innovative technologies to ensure the organization utilizes appropriate computing architectures and services.
  • Develop actionable plans for continuity and recovery of information management processes to minimize operational disruptions.
  • Establish, implement, and monitor policies for availability, change management, maintenance, and capacity planning.

Minimum Education, Certification, and Experience:

  • BA/BS in computer science, management information systems, or related field, or 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in managing incident management and disaster recovery programs aligned with business continuity guidelines.
  • Healthcare experience is a plus.
  • Industry certifications (DRII/CBCP/TheBCI, etc.) are preferred.
