Job summary

ascendingdc is seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Project Manager to lead a large-scale on-site cloud transformation program in Orange, CT. This 12+ month contract role requires coordinating across infrastructure, networking, security, cloud providers, and business stakeholders to ensure successful delivery.

The ideal candidate will manage cross-functional workstreams, drive risk mitigation, and maintain governance while aligning with enterprise standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing complex IT infrastructure projects in large enterprises.
• Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity, and identity & access management.
• Experience coordinating multiple technical teams and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate infrastructure workstreams across multiple technology teams and vendors.
• Serve as the main liaison between cloud providers, managed service partners, infrastructure teams, networking teams, cybersecurity teams, and business stakeholders.
• Manage infrastructure planning, readiness, and delivery activities related to cloud connectivity, networking, security, identity management, and integrations.
• Coordinate environment provisioning, system connectivity, disaster recovery, operational readiness, and infrastructure support activities.
• Identify project risks, dependencies, and issues, and drive resolution across cross-functional teams.
• Track milestones, deliverables, and project status while providing regular updates to leadership.
• Facilitate technical planning sessions, governance reviews, and architecture discussions.
• Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards, security requirements, and infrastructure policies.

Summary:

Required Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, enterprise networking, cybersecurity, identity & access management, and enterprise architecture principles
• Experience coordinating multiple technical teams, stakeholders, and third-party vendors
• Strong project management, communication, stakeholder management, and risk management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Strong documentation and organizational skills
• Proactive, self-driven approach and ability to work independently

Preferred Qualifications:

• PMP, PMI, or similar project management certification
• Experience managing cloud transformation, infrastructure modernization, or large-scale enterprise technology implementation projects
