A healthcare organization is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to oversee advanced-level projects. The ideal candidate will have at least eight years of IT project management experience, a PMP certification, and proficiency in documentation. This role allows for remote work, with occasional onsite requirements in Philadelphia. Responsibilities include managing project teams and mentoring new project managers.

Overview

Client: Philadelphia Hospital

Industry: Healthcare

Type: Contract

Length: 7+ months

Location: Remote but within 2 hours in case need onsite in Philadelphia, PA

The IT Project Manager will be PMP certified and have PM experience in IT with focus on infrastructure/new facilities. Previous experience in IT operations is a plus.

Qualifications
  • Eight (8) years of experience as a project manager in IT project management
  • Bachelor's degree. Preferred Education: Master's degree.
  • Active Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. Certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI).
  • Resume must show experience with Artificial Intelligence.
  • Proficiency in creating detailed documentation for complex projects.
  • Effective oral and written communication with project staff, sponsor(s), and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrates effective consensus-building skills.
  • Ability to manage advanced level projects.
  • Ability to coach other team members.
  • Ability to present project status or PMO-specific initiatives to IS. Demonstrates ability to be a trusted business partner to project sponsors and stakeholders.
Job Summary / Responsibilities
  • Creates, coordinates, and manages advanced-level projects, including organization-wide system implementations or upgrades.
  • Exhibits advanced proficiency in Client's project management methodology, tools and practices.
  • Manages 8 to 15 project team members.
  • Takes on leadership opportunities within the PMO.
  • Acts as a mentor to new PMs and/or PM I's or II's.
  • Is a champion for Client’s PMO project management methodology.
  • May be involved in some leadership activities.
