Marquette Transportation Company, LLC, based in Paducah, Kentucky, seeks an IT Project Manager to lead business and technology initiatives across Canal Barge and Marquette divisions. You will drive migrations, integrations, and new implementations while coordinating stakeholders and ensuring on-time delivery.

This generalist role emphasizes requirements definition, demand intake, and business partner engagement, with travel as needed to support a 24/7 operation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 3–6 years managing IT projects with full delivery lifecycle.
• Experience in at least two of: enterprise app implementation, system integration, data migration, or custom software development.
• Strong ability to write clear requirements, plans, and status communications; manage vendors.
• Knowledge of traditional and iterative delivery approaches; choose appropriately.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and drive execution of technology led projects, migrations, and integrations.
• Maintain project artifacts (charters, RAID logs, decision registers, responsibilities).
• Coordinate internal resources, SMEs, and vendors to meet scope and dates.
• Manage scope, schedule, budget, and quality; propose actions for variances.
• Own communications, cutover planning, testing coordination, and user readiness.
• Serve as intake point for new technology requests and prioritization with leadership.
• Develop preliminary scope, effort, and cost views for prioritization with IT and business leaders.
• Maintain portfolio visibility across dependencies and capacity.
• Facilitate requirements elicitation and document functional/non-functional needs and acceptance criteria.
• Build relationships with business functions and represent IT needs faithfully.
