Job description

The Program Manager is a key member of the organization's Project Management Office (PMO) and is responsible for managing programs and projects from end to end, ensuring quality, scope, schedule, and cost are managed according to established project constraints and PMO methodologies.

This position is responsible for program governance and stakeholder prioritization, project planning, business case development, solution design, resource and budget management, cross-functional coordination, change management, issue resolution, and escalations.

The Program Manager will work closely with business functions, technology teams, integration professionals, and senior leadership. The position requires strong business and technical acumen, excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, and the ability to operate independently while managing multiple priorities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage programs and projects from initiation through completion, ensuring successful organizational outcomes.
  • Provide program management governance, results reporting, and oversight across multiple projects and initiatives.
  • Serve as a liaison between business users and technology resources to support effective solution design and desired business outcomes.
  • Work with stakeholders and business personnel at all organizational levels to understand and document project requirements, problems, and opportunities.
  • Gather project requirements, quantify costs and benefits, define project deliverables, estimate resource requirements, and develop business cases for leadership review and approval.
  • Develop communication plans tailored to stakeholders ranging from staff-level employees through C-suite leadership.
  • Use program and project management tools and documentation to manage scope, budget, schedule, and other project constraints.
  • Define and manage program objectives, roadmaps, deliverables, and success criteria.
  • Ensure alignment between program initiatives and overall business strategy.
  • Establish appropriate governance frameworks, reporting structures, and program controls.
  • Facilitate cross-functional decision-making, collaboration, and issue resolution.
  • Monitor program performance and recommend corrective actions when necessary.
  • Identify and manage program-level risks, dependencies, roadmaps, and success criteria.
  • Coordinate with functional leadership to resolve resource conflicts, scheduling issues, and project dependencies.
  • Escalate critical issues to appropriate project steering teams and leadership when necessary.
  • Monitor and report project and program KPIs to measure performance and overall program success.
  • Apply established PMO methodologies and contribute to continuous improvement and innovation initiatives.
  • Identify, assess, and implement improvements designed to strengthen project delivery and PMO process execution.
  • Evaluate project costs and benefits to support leadership with project and portfolio governance and prioritization.
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Project Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of project and/or program management experience.
  • Working knowledge of standard project management processes, methodologies, tools, and techniques.
  • Experience with OnePlan, Microsoft Project, or other project management software.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and priorities in a multitasking environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing technical documentation.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret complex business processes and systems.
  • Experience with business analysis activities, including requirements documentation, test cases, and implementation plans.
  • Familiarity with IT project management, including SDLC and/or Agile methodologies.
  • Experience within supply chain, distribution, innovation, or logistics environments.
  • Strong team orientation with the ability to operate as a creative thinker and strategic influencer.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Project, OnePlan, and Visio is preferred.
  • Understanding of technical integration and business architecture is preferred.

  • Ability to develop and manage project plans, budgets, schedules, resources, risks, and dependencies.
