Kenco IT is seeking an IT Project Manager II to plan, execute, and deliver projects on time, within budget, and within scope, aligning with business priorities. You will manage project teams, track status and budget, and mitigate risks across multiple initiatives.
Typically handling 2 to 5 projects with moderate to high complexity, including mergers and acquisitions, finance, and customer-facing programs; you will partner with sponsors to define success metrics and ensure ROI targets are met.
The IT Project Manager II is responsible for delivering business outcomes from projects. This is the third level in the job family. The job plans, executes, and delivers projects on time, within budget, and within scope in accordance with business priorities. Throughout the lifecycle of each project, the manager tracks project status and budget. The position manages project teams to mitigate issues and risks. Accountable for the success of all projects under their supervision.
Typically responsible for 2 to 5 projects. Project size is roughly around 500 to 1500 hours and the cost is between around $75,000 to $200,000. Project complexity is medium to high: startups, high visibility, M&A (mergers & acquisitions), finance, customer-facing, and projects that involve other business units. Proactively manages and reports on all financial aspects of the projects. Define and create project plans for project, portfolio, and product prioritization and implementation. Evaluate trade-offs between project size and complexity, cost, urgency, risk, and stakeholder value. Partner with business sponsors to define success metrics and criteria. Build, lead, and coach multiple project teams throughout project lifecycles. Facilitate all operational checkpoint activities throughout the lifecycle of projects. Assess and resolve all high priority project risks as they are encountered. Ensure all projects adhere to project methodology compliance standards set by the company. Continually update relevant business stakeholder of project status. Ensure all projects meet success parameters and ROI targets stated in business case. Perform project prioritization planning/reporting to effectively utilize resources. Assemble project plans and teamwork assignments, Direct and monitor work efforts daily, identify resource needs, perform quality reviews, and elevate functional, quality, timeline issues appropriately.
This position is expected to travel approximately 25% or less. A passport is not required, but recommended.
