Bestica is hiring an IT Project Manager (FPPS Modernization Program Lead) to provide services at the US Department of Interior, Human Resources Directorate. (REMOTE)

Job Location: DOI - Information Technology Support Services - Washington, DC. Remote Type: Fully Remote. Education Level: 4 Year Degree. Salary Range: $65.00 - $75.00 Hourly. Job Shift: Day.

Mandatory Requirements

• 8+ years of experience managing federal IT programs or enterprise systems projects.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile, and Waterfall methodologies.
• Proven track record in legacy system modernization or rehosting efforts.
• Expertise in risk management, scheduling, and stakeholder engagement.
• Familiarity with federal HR/payroll systems preferred.
• Modernization / Federal Experience Focus
• Experience leading mainframe or application modernization efforts.
• Knowledge of FPPS, HRD, or payroll/financial systems modernization.
• Ability to manage multi-phase re-engineering and migration programs.
• Experience coordinating across development, database, and QA teams.

Education & Certifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (required).
• PMP or PMI-ACP Certification (required).
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or SAFe Agilist (desired).
• Security+ or federal IT management certification (preferred).
