Nelnet is seeking a project manager in Lincoln, NE to lead one or more IT project teams, coordinate plans, and manage budgets. This role requires successful collaboration with stakeholders and client departments to ensure on-time delivery and quality.
Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States; security clearance is required for this position. The role offers a hybrid schedule with in-office presence three days per week and remote work within 30 miles of an office.

Manages, directs, and plans complex project(s) consisting of one or more project teams. Responsible for coordinating, scheduling, and assigning project tasks, team building and leadership, and developing and maintaining positive working relationships with clients in functional areas outside of IT as well as external customers. Applies project development methodologies and reporting techniques to indicate project status.
This position requires work in support of the Company's contract with the United States Department of Education ('ED'). As such, the United States Government requires that any applicant for this position must complete United States Government security clearance. Effective June 1, 2018, ED has informed Nelnet that security clearance applications for foreign nationals are not being accepted or processed. In light of this direction from ED, Nelnet will be unable to hire applicants without United States citizenship for such positions. This position offers a hybrid work option. Nelnet values flexibility and understands the importance of work-life integration. Our hybrid work environment allows associates Living within 30 miles of an office location to work remotely for part of the week, while also fostering collaboration and team connection through in-office presence three days per week.

Bachelor's degree in Information Science or related field and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
PMI certification preferred.
Expert level experience working with data in Excel, and MS Project.
Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance is required.
Compensation range for this role is $100,000-$150,000 annually, depending on experience.
