Job summary

Mfinite Consulting is building a pool of IT project managers for contract assignments with North Carolina state and public-sector agencies in the Raleigh area. Assignments typically run 6–12 months or longer; agencies set the schedule (onsite, hybrid or remote).

Lead IT projects from kickoff to go-live, owning end-to-end delivery, schedules, budgets and resources while coordinating with agency stakeholders and technical teams.

Qualifications

• 1–3+ years IT project management experience.
• Experience delivering IT projects end-to-end.
• Ability to run status meetings and governance reporting.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery of IT projects with multiple deliverables across teams.
• Build and manage the integrated project plan, schedule, budget, scope and resources.
• Run status meetings and governance reporting; track risks, issues and change requests.
• Coordinate with agency owners, NCDIT, vendors and technical teams.
• Manage new system implementations, upgrades and releases through go-live.
• Follow State project management standards and keep documentation audit-ready.

Lead IT projects that change how North Carolina serves its residents — from kickoff to go-live.

Mfinite Consulting is building a pool of IT project managers for contract assignments with North Carolina state and public-sector agencies in the Raleigh area. Assignments typically run 6–12 months or longer; agencies set the schedule (onsite, hybrid or remote).

Pay & Schedule

• $48 – $61 per hour, based on experience and skill level
• Full-time, about 40 hours per week
• Contract assignment; W-2 hourly employee of Mfinite Consulting LLC
• Direct deposit

What You'll Do

• Own end-to-end delivery of IT projects with multiple deliverables, delegating and coordinating tasks across teams
• Build and manage the integrated project plan, schedule, budget, scope and resources
• Run status meetings and governance reporting; track risks, issues and change requests
• Coordinate with agency business owners, NCDIT, vendors and technical teams
• Manage new system implementations, upgrades and releases through go-live
• Follow State project management standards and keep documentation audit-ready

What You Need

• 1–3+ years managing IT projects (Mid-Level 3–5 years, Senior 5–7, Expert 7+)
• Proven use of project tools (MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira, Azure DevOps or similar)
• Strong written status reporting and stakeholder communication
• Experience with both Agile and Waterfall delivery
• Eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship; able to pass a background check

Great Fit If You Have

• PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM or SAFe certification
• State or federal government IT project experience
• Program, release or production-support management experience
