Job summary

Cherry Bekaert LLP is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead technology-focused projects from planning through delivery in our Raleigh, NC office. You will translate business needs into actionable plans, roadmaps, and Agile sprint backlogs while managing timelines, budgets, risks, and stakeholder communications.

You must have a bachelor's degree in IT/CS, 5+ years of project leadership, and strong skills in Waterfall, Agile/Scrum, and hybrid methods. Travel is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• Five+ years of experience managing projects of increasing complexity.
• Experience with Waterfall, Agile/Scrum, and hybrid project management approaches.
• Experience translating business needs into structured project plans and engaging stakeholders throughout delivery.
• Ability to navigate matrixed teams, competing priorities, project risks, and changing business needs.
• Strong communication, facilitation, documentation, and relationship-building skills.
• Experience developing project metrics and reporting for project health and delivery efficiency.
• Working knowledge of software development life cycles, process modeling, networks, databases, and BI tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead IT projects from initiation through completion, delivering outcomes on time and within budget.
• Translate business needs into project plans, roadmaps, budgets, and Agile sprint plans.
• Identify and manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and decisions.
• Build relationships with stakeholders across matrixed teams and communicate clearly.
• Analyze business processes and recommend improvements for better delivery and efficiency.
• Facilitate meetings, document decisions, and align stakeholders on priorities.
• Introduce PM tools, methods, and process improvements for project health.
• Provide guidance and development support to team members across service lines.
