Role Mission : The IT Project Manager is to oversee the planning, execution, monitoring, and closure of IST Project Initiatives. The IT Project Manager ensures all projects are delivered on time and on budget for the organization. This role also ensures all district funded projects adhere to guidelines and requirements.

This is a full-time national position that reports on all Information Systems Technology (IST) projects.

T his is a full-time remote position based in Texas with preference given to candidates who live in Austin, El Paso, Houston, Permian Basin (Midland/Odessa), Rio Grande Valley, San Antonio, and Tarrant County (Fort Worth), or who are willing to relocate.u00A0

Essential Duties:


Project Delivery: Ensure all technology projects are delivered within the defined constraints.

  • Manage the entire project lifecycle for technology projects at a national level including Campus/ HQ technology playbooks.
  • Coordinating project team members and developing schedules and individual responsibilities.
  • Leverage the project management platform to track, monitor and report project performance.
  • Participate with the Director of PMO to plan and monitor projects in accordance with departmental standards and best practices.
  • Develop and recommend technical solutions.
  • Schedule Management & Coordination: Leverage the Project Management platform to schedule, monitor and coordinate project execution.
  • Resource Management: Manage internal and external (vendor) resources
  • Stakeholder Management: Conduct meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Vendor Management u2013 Conduct meetings with vendors
  • Risk Management u2013 assess, monitor , and manage risks.

Fiscal Stewardship:

  • Manage the successful planning and execution of annual projects to reduce costs and maximize revenue.
  • Ensure all warranty processes are streamlined and communicated effect to reduce costs.
  • Create and develop training for all stakeholders that are impacted by the attrition.

Beginning of Year ( BoY ) Deliverables: 100% Technology Operations BoY deliverables completed by one week before First Day of School

  • 100% of staff have proper technology and account access by FDOS.
  • 100% of projectors are ordered, installed, and ready for instruction by FDOS.
  • 100% of schools have network and systems by FDOS.
  • 100% of labs are set up by FDOS and ready for students.
  • 100% of front office equipment is set up and ready to admit visitors
  • 100% of student laptops/COWs are set up and ready for deployment.
  • 100% of instructional systems are fully configured, ready and available by the first day of school.
  • Work closely with Information Technology, the IDEA Construction department and construction Project Management to ensure all construction related IT project deliverables are completed on time and within scope and quality constraints.

  • Experience: 5 years of technical project management experience , 4 years of supervising or managing experience in a technical role

  • Minimum 3 years leading and growing teams with a strong record of results.
  • Licenses or Certifications: Project + , CAPM

Compensation & Benefits:

Salaries for people entering this role typically fall between $74,700 and $87,100 , commensurate with relevant experience and qualifications and in alignment with internal equity. This role is also eligible for performance pay based on organizational performance and goal attainment .
