ZimZee Recruiting is looking for an IT Project Manager for our aviation client in Wichita, Kansas. This role is responsible for leading the planning, coordination, and successful execution of technology initiatives across the organization. The IT Technical Project Manager will work closely with leadership, business stakeholders, and technical teams to define project scope, establish priorities, manage resources, and ensure projects are delivered on time and aligned with business objectives. This position requires a strong blend of technical understanding, project leadership, stakeholder communication, and organizational skills to drive successful outcomes across a variety of IT projects.

Skills and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of project management experience within an IT environment
• Formal project management certification or training (PMP, CAPM, Agile, Scrum, or similar)
• Proven experience managing complex IT projects including software implementations, cloud initiatives, infrastructure upgrades, or cybersecurity projects
• Strong knowledge of project planning, scheduling, risk management, and resource allocation
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities
• Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Experience with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain Management (F&SCM) or Customer Engagement (CE) is preferred

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end project management of IT initiatives, including software implementations, cloud migrations, cybersecurity programs, and infrastructure projects
• Facilitate project discovery and scoping sessions to define business requirements, objectives, success criteria, timelines, and constraints
• Develop, maintain, and prioritize project plans, schedules, milestones, budgets, and resource allocations to ensure successful project delivery
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to establish project expectations, testing requirements, validation processes, and acceptance criteria
• Identify project risks, dependencies, resource conflicts, and interdepartmental impacts while implementing effective mitigation strategies
• Manage stakeholder communication, project governance, status reporting, and change control processes throughout the project lifecycle
