Position Type: Full-Time

Salary: $130k-$155k annually (depending on experience)

Work Site: Patuxent River, MD

Work Location: This is a remote position. Must support EST business hours.

Summary

Seeking a Senior-level IT Project manager to assist in managing the modernization of legacy apps. An ideal candidate has experience managing agile dev teams deploying to AWS (preferably GovCloud) using CI/CD pipelines. Candidate will hold daily stand-ups and manage sprint planning, as well as direct tasking. Experience in DoD software development/IT environments extremely beneficial to success in this role.

Essential Functions

• Lead, manage, and provide technical guidance to a software development team for application modernizations deploying to AWS GovCloud using CI/CD pipelines.
• Develop and maintain project plans/schedules in GitLab.
• Identify, track, mitigate, and resolve schedule and performance risks.
• Regularly report project progress and risks to leadership.
• Work closely with technical teams and subject matter experts, acting as liaison with the customer.
• Coordinate and participate in meetings with stakeholders and the technical team to gather, analyze, break down, and document requirements.
• Facilitate meetings across technical teams and with customers to track progress and overcome blockers.
• Manage planning meetings, daily standups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

Requirements

Required:

• Experience as a project manager for a software development team required.
• Experience creating, coordinating, and tracking project schedules and tasking required.

Desired

Desired:

• Experience working with GitLab as a PM/CM tool highly desired.
• Experience working with a development team modernizing a legacy app and/or deploying to AWS highly desired.
• Experience working in a DoD software development/IT environment desired.
• AWS and PMP or Scrum Master certifications highly desired.

Education/Experience

• BS/BA degree and 10 years related experience OR AA/AS degree and 14 years related experience OR HS and 16 years related experience.

Security Clearance

• Must be eligible to obtain a Secret clearance. Active Secret clearance desired, interim Secret acceptable to start. Requirements to obtain a clearance include US Citizenship, security investigation, etc.
