Position Overview
We are seeking an IT Project Manager to lead and coordinate the planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery of enterprise IT projects and application development initiatives. The successful candidate will oversee project scope, schedules, resources, deliverables, quality, and stakeholder communication while ensuring projects are delivered in alignment with business and technical objectives.
This role requires experience managing medium- to large-scale IT projects, software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies, project governance, resource coordination, risk and issue management, and executive-level communication. The ideal candidate will be capable of managing multiple workstreams and working effectively with technical and non-technical teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, implementation, and delivery of medium- to large-scale IT projects, including projects with multiple workstreams and deliverables.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project management plans, schedules, milestones, and delivery roadmaps.
- Define and manage project scope, goals, deliverables, tasks, timelines, and resource requirements.
- Oversee project execution from initiation through completion, ensuring deliverables are completed on time and within established requirements.
- Coordinate project resources, workstreams, dependencies, and deliverable assignments.
- Manage project schedules, track milestones, and communicate progress to stakeholders.
- Monitor project risks, issues, dependencies, and changes, and implement appropriate mitigation and corrective actions.
- Support project financial management, resource planning, and overall project governance.
- Review project deliverables for completeness, quality, and compliance with established project standards.
- Support quality assurance activities and develop metrics to measure project and delivery outcomes.
- Coordinate application and system testing activities as part of the project delivery lifecycle.
- Manage project changes and interventions to ensure project objectives and expected outcomes are achieved.
- Prepare and present project status reports, progress updates, risks, issues, and recommended solutions to project leadership and executive stakeholders.
- Facilitate project meetings, stakeholder discussions, and cross-functional coordination sessions.
- Prepare and distribute project meeting agendas, minutes, action items, and follow-up communications.
- Collaborate with business users, developers, analysts, infrastructure teams, vendors, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure project documentation, management artifacts, and deliverables are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide overall project guidance and direction while ensuring alignment with strategic business and technology objectives.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of professional experience in IT project management, program coordination, or a related field.
- Experience managing medium- to large-scale IT projects, including projects with multiple workstreams or sub-projects.
- Experience managing projects involving custom three-tier web applications and/or enterprise packaged or customized systems.
- Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and formal project management methodologies.
- Experience developing and maintaining project management plans, schedules, budgets, resource plans, and project governance artifacts.
- Experience managing project scope, deliverables, timelines, resources, risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Experience reviewing project deliverables for completeness, quality, and compliance with established standards.
- Experience presenting and communicating with executive-level management and project stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of server and application architecture.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, tasks, and priorities under tight deadlines.
- Ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical resources.
- Strong analytical, organizational, presentation, facilitation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication, collaboration, and team-building skills.
- Relevant certifications such as PMP, CAPM, or PMI-ACP are a plus.

- Experience managing government IT projects or legacy application environments.
- Experience with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project delivery methodologies.
- Experience with enterprise application development, modernization, or systems enhancement projects.
- Experience with project management tools, reporting dashboards, and collaboration platforms.
- Experience supporting quality assurance, testing, and release management activities.
- Experience contributing to strategic planning, project governance, and process improvement initiatives.
