CACI is seeking an experienced and proactive IT Project Manager to join our team supporting a mission-critical Department of Homeland Security (DHS) contract. In this role, you will lead rapid-response, short-fuse engineering and IT infrastructure initiatives - ranging from hardware and software installations to enterprise tool upgrades across 24/7/365 production environments.
The ideal candidate brings strong technical leadership, familiarity with the Systems Engineering Life Cycle (SELC) framework, and hands-on experience guiding matrixed teams through project initiation, requirements gathering, deployment, and transition to Operations and Maintenance (O&M).

Responsibilities

• All areas of Project Management from initiation through closeout, ensuring the successful execution of the project in support of government customer’s mission, goals and objectives.
• Responsible for the management, scheduling, and coordination of projects activities, and staff assignments.
• Provides leadership to a cross-functional team, managing team resource assignments, projected task completion dates, prioritizing activities based on customer requirements and SLAs.
• Document and track the project lifecycle in ServiceNow PPM.
• Produce and provide rough orders of magnitude and estimates for projects requiring surge resources.
• Oversee individual IT projects from identification of requirements, analysis and design, development, end-user testing, deployment, and production support.
• Document and manage all issues and risks, developing and maintaining a risk register and mitigation plan.
• Facilitate all necessary project meetings, to include requirements gathering, project kick-off, technical exchange meetings, design review, project status meeting, project closeout meetings and all ad- hoc and post-mortem meetings necessary.
• Work across the program to manage the transition of projects from engineering to O&M.
• Provide appropriate reporting and drive towards on time delivery by working directly with stakeholders.
• Provide recommendations for process development and improvement.
• Contribute to documentation in the Knowledge Base, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), work instructions, and job aids.

Qualifications

Required:

• Ability to obtain TS/SCI DoD Security Clearance (active TS preferred)
• Ability to obtain Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Entry On Duty (EOD) - Active EOD preferred
• B.A./B.S. or equivalent + 8 years of relevant experience
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
• Advanced proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (predominantly Excel, PowerPoint and Visio).
• Experience with Microsoft Project, JIRA, and Confluence

Desired:

• Previous DHS or DoD experience
• Relevant IT, Service Management, and Project Management certifications are highly desired:
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
• Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or Agile certifications (PMI-ACP)
• COMPTIA A+, or Network+, or Security+
• ITIL Foundation (v3 or v4)
• Other IT technical certifications
• ServiceNow Project Portfolio Management
