Job summary

CACI International Inc. is seeking a Project Scheduler/Manager to oversee multi-disciplinary R&D projects across multiple labs. You will drive planning, scheduling, and governance, shaping PM practices while delivering cutting-edge engineering work that supports national security missions.

You’ll lead cross-functional teams, implement Agile/Scrum where applicable, and refine processes. A strong PM foundation and ability to communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders are essential.

Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI clearance, or Active Secret with ability to obtain TS/SCI.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field plus 3–5 years of PM experience.
  • PMI- or CAPM-certified preferred, grounding in PM concepts.
  • 3+ years IMS experience in scheduling and tracking.
  • Experience managing technical or engineering projects.
  • Govt contracting experience and knowledge of requirements management.
  • Demonstrated Agile/Scrum experience and adaptation.
  • Experience with GitLab, Planner or MS Project.
  • Proficiency in MS Office; strong written/verbal skills.
  • Proven stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Experience creating technical reports, briefings, risk docs, and traceability.

The Opportunity

CACI is looking for a Project Manager to lead and shape project management practices for cutting-edge innovation and engineering projects that support critical national security missions. You'll have the opportunity to work across diverse technical domains, collaborating with subject matter experts and highly skilled engineers while introducing modern project management methodologies to drive mission success.

Responsibilities

As a Project Manager, you'll oversee research and development projects spanning multiple technical disciplines. You'll work with small to medium-sized cross-functional teams distributed across multiple labs on campus, guiding projects from conception through delivery. This role offers the unique opportunity to establish and refine project management processes while working hands-on with state-of-the-art technologies and innovative solutions.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Active TS/SCI clearance, or Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field + 3-5 years of relevant project planning/management experience (or equivalent combination).
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or CAPM certification strongly preferred, demonstrating a foundation in PM concepts.
  • 3+ years of demonstrated Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) experience
  • Experience managing technical or engineering projects
  • Experience managing projects in a government contracting environment and understanding of government requirements management
  • Demonstrated experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and ability to introduce and adapt these practices
  • Experience with project management tools such as GitLab, Microsoft Planner, or MS Project
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven stakeholder management experience
  • Ability to work effectively with highly technical and cross-functional teams
  • Experience developing and managing:
  • Technical reports and documentation
  • Client presentations and briefings
  • Status reports and project tracking
  • Risk management documentation
  • Requirements traceability and management
  • Lessons learned and after-action reports
Desired
  • Engineering or technical degree
  • Experience contributing to resource planning and ROM (Rough Order of Magnitude) estimates
  • Familiarity with DoD acquisition processes or federal compliance frameworks
  • Experience managing geographically distributed teams across multiple facilities
  • Experience with Confluence, SharePoint, or similar collaboration platforms
  • Change management or organizational transformation experience

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The Proposed Salary Range For This Position Is

$75,200 - 158,100 USD
