Job summary

Primoris Services Corporation is seeking an IT Project Manager to plan, execute, and deliver technology projects aligned with business goals. You will manage scope, budget, risks, and stakeholder expectations while coordinating with vendors and leadership to drive success.

Hybrid work arrangement with on-site and remote responsibilities is expected. The role requires 3-7 years of IT project management experience, certification preferences (PMP, CSM, SAFe Agilist), and familiarity with PM tools

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, CS, or a related field
• 3-7 years of experience managing IT projects
• PMP certification preferred
• CSM or SAFe Agilist preferred
• Strong understanding of IT project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid)
• Experience with ERP systems such as Viewpoint Vista preferred
• Construction industry experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria in alignment with business goals.
• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and work breakdown structures.
• Manage project execution within scope, budget, and quality standards.
• Collaborate with business units, IT teams, and executives to define requirements.
• Facilitate regular status meetings and steering committee updates.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate risks and issues to minimize impact.
• Monitor budgets and ensure efficient resource utilization.
• Coordinate with internal teams and vendors to allocate resources.
• Manage contracts, SLAs, and vendor performance.
• Apply Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid methodologies based on project needs.
• Lead Agile ceremonies for Agile projects.
• Ensure governance, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate QA testing and UAT coordination.
• Maintain project documentation and lessons learned.

By applying best practices in project management, they help optimize IT initiatives and contribute to the organization's digital transformation efforts.Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria in alignment with business goals.Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and work breakdown structures.Manage project execution, ensuring timely completion within scope, budget, and quality standards.Collaborate with business units, IT teams, and executive stakeholders to define project requirements.Facilitate regular status meetings and steering committee meetings, providing clear and concise project updates.Manage stakeholder expectations and address concerns proactively.Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues to minimize impact on timelines and budgets.Develop contingency plans and escalate critical issues when necessary.Monitor project budgets, ensuring cost control and efficient resource utilization.Coordinate with internal teams and vendors to allocate resources effectively.Work with external vendors, consultants, and service providers to ensure successful project delivery.Manage contracts, service level agreements (SLAs), and vendor performance.Apply appropriate project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid) based on project needs.Lead Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, retrospectives, sprint planning) when managing Agile projects.Ensure project deliverables meet IT governance, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance requirements.Conduct testing, quality assurance, and user acceptance testing (UAT) coordination.Maintain project documentation, lessons learned, and post-implementation reviews for future improvements.Drive process optimization and best practices for IT project management.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.3-7 years of experience managing IT projects, preferably in software development, infrastructure, or digital transformation.Proven track record of successfully delivering IT projects on time, within scope, and within budget.Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred.Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or SAFe Agilist (SA) for Agile environments preferred.Strong understanding of IT project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid).Proficiency in project management tools (JIRA, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, ServiceNow, or similar).Familiarity with IT governance, cybersecurity, and compliance standards.Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and critical-thinking abilities.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for project reporting and presentations.Ability to work in a hybrid work environment, balancing remote and in-office responsibilities as needed.Experience managing vendors, contracts, and third-party service providers for IT projects.Must be able to work both remotely and on-site as required, with a flexible schedule that includes in-office presence based on business needsExperience with ERP systems such as Viewpoint Vista preferredExperience in the construction industry preferredCompany Overview:Primoris Services Corporation is a premier specialty contractor providing critical infrastructure services to the utility, energy, and renewables markets throughout the United States and Canada.
