Job summary

JANUS Research Group seeks an IT Management Assistant to direct and manage technical resources for the CSFE at Naval Base Ventura County, Port Hueneme, CA. The role emphasizes coordinating with senior leaders on IS business decisions and applying security practices to data management services.

Qualified candidates should have naval construction force or civil officer experience and be able to forecast annual budgets while delivering on-time project milestones in a remote-field support setup.

Qualifications

• 5 years’ experience related to training development and computer systems and applications.
• Analyze and define data requirements and specifications.
• Design, develop, install, and implement databases.
• Maintain, monitor, performance tuning, backup, and recovery of databases.
• Analyze systems requirements in response to business requirements, risks, and costs.

Responsibilities

• Validate schoolhouse requirements for Electronic Classrooms (ECR) and other multi-media.
• Submit ECR requirements into SERENA Solutions Business Manager.
• Coordinate and track delivery of ECR components per CTC timelines.
• Load simulation files and prioritize electrical upgrades for NAVFAC drawing layouts.
• Maintain IS project plan with tasks, milestones, and resources.
• Coordinate resources and timetables to complete classroom implementations.
• Verify operational readiness of implemented technologies.
• Propose IT strategies, policies, and procedures to leadership.
