Job summary

ExecuSource seeks an experienced IT Program Manager to lead strategic technology initiatives and oversee a team of Project Managers in a hybrid Atlanta setting. The role partners with executive leadership to ensure delivery aligns with organizational priorities and governance standards.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in technology program management, strong PMO and governance expertise, and a track record of cross-functional leadership and strategic execution.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience managing complex technology projects and programs.
  • At least 3 years of experience leading Project Managers, technology delivery teams, or similar teams in a leadership capacity.
  • Demonstrated success managing cross-functional technology initiatives and strategic implementations.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, PMO operations, governance, resource planning, and portfolio management.
  • Proven ability to partner effectively with executive leadership and business stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and provide visibility into project performance, risks, resources, and outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, coach, and develop a team of Project Managers while promoting accountability, collaboration, and professional growth.
  • Manage project workloads, priorities, and resource assignments across the Project Management team.
  • Provide leadership and oversight for the successful execution of complex technology programs and initiatives.
  • Monitor project performance, risks, resource capacity, timelines, and overall delivery health across the technology portfolio.
  • Partner with PMO Governance leadership to establish and reinforce project management standards, methodologies, processes, and best practices.
  • Ensure consistent adherence to PMO governance, reporting, and delivery requirements.
  • Support the training, adoption, and continuous improvement of project management processes and tools.
  • Maintain accurate portfolio data and provide leadership with reporting, analysis, and insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Assist with portfolio planning, prioritization, resource allocation, and capacity management.
  • Partner with the Director of IT Projects on PMO operations, strategic initiatives, and organizational planning.
  • Contribute to annual planning, budgeting, forecasting, and resource management activities.
  • Identify opportunities to improve project delivery, operational efficiency, and utilization of technology resources.
  • Support recruiting, onboarding, and ongoing professional development of Project Management team members.
  • Help advance the overall maturity and effectiveness of the organization's PMO.
  • Work with vendors and third-party partners on technology implementations and project delivery as needed.

Location: Atlanta, GA 30328 (Hybrid)

Our law firm client, a leading labor and employment law practice, is seeking an experienced IT Program Manager to lead the successful execution of strategic technology initiatives across the organization. This leadership-level position will oversee a team of Project Managers, manage delivery across a diverse technology portfolio, and work closely with executive leadership and business stakeholders to ensure projects align with organizational priorities.

The ideal candidate will be an accomplished technology leader with strong experience in program and portfolio management, PMO operations, resource planning, governance, and developing high-performing project management teams.

This is a hybrid opportunity in Atlanta, offering the opportunity to work collaboratively with technology and business leaders while providing strategic oversight of the firm's project portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Experience with Business Process Improvement or Business Process Re-engineering initiatives.
  • Background working within legal, professional services, or other highly regulated environments.
  • Experience managing vendors and third-party technology implementations.
