JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary/Objective

The IT Procurement & Asset Manager is responsible for developing and executing the organization's IT procurement and technology asset management strategy. This role oversees all IT-related spending, sourcing initiatives, contract negotiations, supplier performance, software licensing compliance, and lifecycle management of technology assets. The position partners closely with Technology, Finance, Legal, Operations, and Executive Leadership to optimize costs, mitigate risks, improve operational efficiency, and ensure technology investments align with business objectives.

The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership for hardware, software, cloud services, and other technology-related expenditures while maximizing the value and utilization of company-owned technology assets throughout their lifecycle.

Essential Functions
  • Develop and execute the organization's IT procurement and asset management strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives, technology roadmaps, and financial targets.
  • Lead strategic sourcing, supplier selection, RFx processes, and contract negotiations for technology hardware, software, telecommunications, cloud services, and related IT solutions to optimize total cost of ownership and service quality.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, technology leadership, executive management, and strategic suppliers, serving as the primary escalation point for supplier performance and asset-related issues.
  • Manage supplier performance through governance programs, vendor scorecards, and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) to ensure contractual obligations, service levels, and business expectations are met.
  • Mitigate organizational risk by overseeing software licensing compliance, complex contract negotiation and administration, procurement controls, supply chain planning, and audit readiness activities.
  • Oversee the complete lifecycle of technology assets, including forecasting, acquisition, deployment, inventory management, maintenance, redeployment, recovery, disposal, and retirement.
  • Lead inventory management and asset control processes for technology hardware and software across corporate locations, ensuring appropriate stock levels, system accuracy, and compliance with purchasing and asset management procedures.
  • Collaborate with Technology, Finance, Legal, Operations, and various internal teams to evaluate technology investments, standardize solutions, support strategic initiatives, and maximize return on technology assets.
  • Work closely with Warehouse Manager on asset recovery, disposition, and liquidation activities to minimize loss, optimize asset value, and ensure compliance with security, environmental, and corporate policies.
  • Develop, monitor, and report key performance indicators (KPIs) related to cost savings, supplier performance, compliance, inventory optimization, asset utilization, and operational effectiveness while identifying continuous improvement opportunities.
