Overview
The IT Portfolio Manager oversees and manages technology-driven initiatives for multiple enterprise lines of business. You will ensure initiatives are completed on schedule, within budget and scope, and meet quality standards. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve enterprise strategic objectives and navigate competing initiative priorities with strong organization and interpersonal skills.
Salary
Base pay range: $109,970.00/yr - $188,520.00/yr. Pay is based on skills and experience; discuss specifics with your recruiter.
Responsibilities
- Manage interactions with internal and external auditors as required from an information perspective
- Be responsible and accountable for the stability, performance, production, compliance, roadmap strategy and development initiatives for each application in the portfolio
- Facilitate joint planning with business partners in the early stages of project formation
- Serve as a key voice to the business on application and roadmap initiatives, annual planning, and escalation of project-related issues
- Support IT and Business 3-5 year roadmap strategies to ensure alignment of applications and initiatives
- Participate in feasibility studies and proposals on strategic initiatives
- Lead, coach and develop IT professionals, fostering a diverse and skilled team
- Advocate for business stakeholders in IT forums
- Provide governance and oversight of projects/programs to achieve goals within approved time, scope, and budget
- Plan and onboard projects and programs
- Maintain and communicate overall portfolio financials
- Maximize resource allocation based on availability and prioritization
- Promote strong IT governance within the management framework and mentor project managers
- Oversee production of management documents (Project Charter, Requirements, Epics, Stories, etc.)
- Provide consulting services to business partners on new initiatives
- Oversee management of project closure initiatives
Qualifications
- Education: Associate Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (Preferred)
- Experience: 7-10 years of Project and Program Management with medium to large enterprise portfolios (Required)
- Advanced knowledge of systems development and project delivery methodologies; leadership in dynamic/complex environments
- Ability to identify critical-path issues and manage them to resolution
- Experience working with senior staff and teams (Preferred: 10+ years)
- Experience with PMO structures and practices; managing geographically distributed teams (Preferred)
