This role helps keep APS Operations running smoothly and effectively by bringing structure, insight, and coordination to complex business activities. By analyzing processes, strengthening systems, and supporting cross‑departmental initiatives, this position helps APS make informed decisions, manage risk, and improve how work gets done. The impact shows up in more reliable operations, stronger compliance, smarter use of technology, and ultimately in APS’s ability to serve customers and communities safely and efficiently.

What Your Day Would Be Like:

• Partnering with teams across APS to analyze processes, identify improvement opportunities, and turn insights into practical solutions.
• Supporting planning and portfolio health by developing clear, accurate reports and dashboards that leaders can rely on.
• Helping ensure systems, data, and processes meet regulatory, security, and business requirements.
• Leading or contributing to cross‑department projects that improve how work flows across the organization.
• Using research, benchmarking, and data analysis to define business needs and guide decision‑making.
• Mentoring and supporting less‑tenured team members as projects and initiatives move forward.

Who We’re Looking For:

• Experience in business operations, process improvement, or analytical roles within a complex organization.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
• Comfort working across teams to define needs, implement solutions, and measure results.
• Familiarity with business systems, reporting, and maintaining data integrity and consistency.
• Clear communicator who can document processes and explain ideas to both technical and non‑technical partners.
• A collaborative mindset with an interest in helping others grow and succeed.
• BS/BA equivalency or an equivalent combination of four years relevant work experience and relevant college coursework in business, information technology or a related area.
• Plus five (5) years of progressively responsible experience where strong understanding of business unit operations, business unit systems, database design, structure, functions and work processes and experience with database tools is obtained.
• Plus eight (8) years of progressively responsible experience where strong understanding of business unit operations, business unit systems, database design, structure, functions and work processes and experience with database tools has been obtained.
• Previous experience with the systems specific to the business area may also be required. Demonstrated knowledge of business processes and operational knowledge including functions, procedures, processes, and computer systems.
