Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat is seeking an IT PMO Project Manager – Software Development to lead complex IT initiatives and drive delivery across applications. The successful candidate will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage full project lifecycles, and ensure on-time, on-budget results.

You will create detailed project plans, oversee dependencies and risk, report progress to stakeholders, and align IT efforts with program goals at EB Poheganut Site in Groton, CT.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or higher.
• 5+ years IT project management, ERP/Oracle-EBS or HCM experience.
• Experience with high-risk, high-visibility projects with multiple dependencies.
• PMO experience with governance and delivery standards.
• Experience in Software Development, Cloud Computing, Data Management, Networking, or Server Administration.
• Finance, Supply Chain and Human Capital Management software implementations.

Responsibilities

• Lead IT projects with complex initiatives, including full lifecycle management.
• Create and maintain integrated project plans addressing dependencies, vendors, risks, testing plans, and deployment plans.
• Lead cross-functional IT teams across IT, application owners, business stakeholders and vendors.
• Define project scope with goals and deliverables meeting stakeholder expectations.
• Serve as the communication hub to align resources across the team.
• Develop detailed project scopes, timelines, resources, and budgets within IT projects or programs.
• Track KPIs and report project status, risks, and milestones to stakeholders.
• Act as liaison between technical stakeholders and IT staff to maintain alignment.
• Anticipate risks and develop contingency plans.
