Iowa Department of Management (DOM) is seeking a Performance Management Engineer to elevate IT performance reporting and analytics. You will build dashboards and automated scorecards, integrate ITSM data, and partner with IT teams to improve service visibility and quality.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in any field and 2 years of related IT experience.
• Alternatively, degree in computer science, MIS, software engineering, or cyber security with 1 year of related IT experience.
• Two years of IT experience plus four years of education/experience as described may satisfy qualifications.
• Four years of IT work plus either certification or 18 college hours in related areas may qualify.
• Current state employees with 6 months as Information Technology Specialist 3 may qualify.

Responsibilities

• Build comprehensive service delivery performance reports covering incident trends and SLA compliance.
• Design dashboards showing workload distribution, resolution efficiency, and productivity indicators.
• Develop automated scorecards for service partners and vendors measuring SLA performance.
• Configure SLA tracking, breach alerts, and compliance reporting across IT services.
• Create analytics for service desk operations including call volumes and first-call resolution.
• Analyze ITSM data using SQL and platform APIs for trend analysis and integrations.
• Conduct root cause analyses to identify bottlenecks and improvement opportunities.
• Develop benchmarking reports across teams and agencies to highlight best practices.
