Job summary

Wunderlich-Malec Engineering, Inc. in Eden Prairie, MN, is seeking an IT Project Manager to plan, coordinate, and execute client-facing IT/OT infrastructure projects from initiation through completion.

The role requires independent management of multiple projects, ensuring schedules, budgets, resources, and client expectations are effectively coordinated. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in IT infrastructure and related environments, with strong communication, scheduling, and governance

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, Industrial Management, or a related field; equivalent professional experience may be considered.
• 3–5 years of progressive project management experience in IT/OT, IT infrastructure, networking, or related services.
• Experience managing projects from planning through execution and closure with schedules, deliverables, and reporting.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to lead meetings and provide proactive status updates.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications incl. Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage multiple IT/OT infrastructure and technical services projects from initiation through planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
• Develop, maintain, and manage project schedules, milestones, deliverables, and resource plans using MS Project and other tracking tools.
• Coordinate engineers, technical leads, clients, vendors, and stakeholders to align activities with commitments.
• Lead project meetings, establish agendas, document decisions, assign action items, and drive follow-through.
• Monitor progress against scope, schedule, budget, and risks; develop mitigation plans.
• Maintain RAID logs, action registers, and change documentation to support visibility and resolution of issues.
• Communicate status, milestones, risks, and resource constraints to clients and leadership in a timely manner.
• Manage client expectations on scope, schedule, and changes; facilitate priority alignment.
• Coordinate resource planning and capacity management with technical leads and management.
• Monitor labor hours, budgets, forecasts, and utilization; flag variances and impacts.
• Support proposal development, estimates, scope definitions, change orders, and related docs.
• Coordinate procurement activities and vendor follow-up to support execution.
• Identify gaps in project information and drive resolution to prevent schedule impacts.
• Collaborate with technical teams to understand requirements and delivery constraints.
• Maintain project documentation and collaboration spaces using SharePoint, Teams, OneNote.
• Provide consistent project reporting to management on schedule health, budget, risks, and milestones.
• Drive project closeout activities including deliverable confirmation and lessons learned.
