Olympic Steel seeks an Information Technology/Operations Support Associate for our Plymouth, MN location. The role focuses on placing and tracking purchase orders, supporting inventory, and acting as the first contact for drivers and vendors.

The position pays $26.00 - $32.00 per hour and requires a High School Diploma/GED with 1+ year in a related role. On-site work with opportunities to assist MIS and operations teams.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year of experience in a manufacturing administrative role preferred, but not required.
• Working knowledge of computer systems, including Microsoft Office Suite and inventory systems.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask and be flexible in workday tasks.
• Understands business systems software functionality.
• Maintains document flow for the division.
• Responsible for set up and troubleshooting all PC equipment for new and existing users.
• Hosts employee education sessions as needed for business software systems.
• Implements programs, projects or other initiatives as directed.

Responsibilities

• Place and track purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery.
• Support warehouse inventory and ensure proper receipt of steel.
• Pull traffic paperwork during audits.
• Coordinate administrative functions and MIS issue resolution.
• Liaise between divisional staff, the Controller and the MIS department.
