Job summary

InComm Payments is seeking a motivated IT Operations & ServiceNow Intern in Atlanta to split time between Service Mapping and Operations Readiness & Change Management. You will gain hands-on experience in IT service management, process documentation, and data visualization while contributing to real enterprise IT projects.

Ideal candidates are a junior or rising senior at a local university with a 3.0+ GPA, graduating December 2027 or May 2028, pursuing MIS or CIS.

Responsibilities

• Phase 1: Map servers to applications in CMDB and link partners for impact assessments.
• Phase 1: Assist in hardware asset mapping in HAM module.
• Phase 2: Document change management processes and create templates.
• Phase 2: Build an Operations Readiness Dashboard using Power BI.
• Phase 2: Validate job aids against ServiceNow workflows.

About This Opportunity

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented IT Operations & ServiceNow Intern to join our team for a dynamic internship experience split between two critical areas: Service Mapping within the ServiceNow team and Operations Readiness & Change Management. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in IT service management, process documentation, and data visualization while contributing to real-world projects that support enterprise IT operations.

Responsibilities

Phase 1: Service Mapping (ServiceNow Team)

• Manually associate servers with applications in the Configuration Management Database (CMDB).
• Collaborate with the IT Operations Center team to link partners with applications for automated impact assessments.
• Assist in mapping maintenance and hardware assets within the Hardware Asset Management module.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of service mapping data to support operational visibility and incident response.

Phase 2: IRM / Operations Readiness / Change Management

• Document internal and customer-facing processes for the change management team.
• Develop and refine templates for team use and assist in drafting patching change documentation.
• Create a formal project close-out process and communicate updates to PMs and technical leads.
• Build and maintain an Operations Readiness Dashboard using Power BI.
• Test and validate job aids against ServiceNow change workflows in QA environments.

Assist in updating and enhancing Change Management Knowledge Base Articles (KBAs) in ServiceNow.

Qualifications

• Currently a junior or rising senior enrolled at a local Atlanta University (e.g., Georgia State University, University of Georgia, Kennesaw State University), pursuing a Bachelors degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Information Systems or a related field. We’re looking for driven individuals ready to tackle real-world challenges;
• 3.0 GPA and above;
• Students expected to graduate in December 2027 or May 2028
• The ability to manage multiple priorities while balancing school, work, and personal
• Microsoft Office Tools experience (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proactive attitude with a passion for deal-making
• Can-do attitude; energetic, passionate and driven
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
