Job summary

Delta Airlines is seeking an IT Summer Understudy in Operations Research to explore and analyze airline data from multiple sources. You will develop Python scripts and build models to forecast behaviors, supporting various teams across Revenue, Operations, and IT.

Interns should be able to work from the Atlanta or MSP offices with a flexible hybrid plan and aim to transition to a full-time role upon graduation if extended.

Qualifications

• GPA 3.0 or higher and at least 2 years in a degree program.
• Must be able to work from Atlanta or MSP office; Hybrid/onsite with management approval.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL required.
• Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills.
• Interest in working full-time after graduation if extended.
• U.S. work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Question carrier data from multiple sources and perform exploratory data analysis.
• Write Python scripts and build models to forecast behaviors and inform aircraft operations.
• Present summaries to operations research and business leaders at end of internship.
• Work with teams in Atlanta or MSP with on-site to hybrid work arrangement.
