Job summary

Squint is hiring an IT Ops Lead to own the systems, tools, and infrastructure that keep every Squinter productive and secure. You will sit within Finance & Operations and ensure new hires are set up on day one, tools and vendors are well managed, and security hygiene is solid—without slowing anyone down.

In this role you’ll own onboarding/offboarding, manage vendor relationships, and maintain foundational security practices in collaboration with Engineering.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of IT operations, systems administration, or similar roles.
• Experience managing SaaS tooling, devices, and vendor relationships.
• Working knowledge of core security practices (SSO, access management, device management).
• Strong documentation and organizational skills.

About the Role

We're hiring an IT Ops Lead to own the systems, tools, and infrastructure that keep every Squinter productive — and secure.

Sitting within our Finance & Operations team, you'll be the person who makes sure new hires get set up on day one, our tools and vendors are managed well, and our basic security hygiene is solid — all without slowing anyone down.

What You’ll Do

• Own our internal systems: You’ll manage the SaaS tools, devices, and access that Squinters use every day — provisioning, deprovisioning, and everything in between.

• Run IT for onboarding and offboarding: You’ll make sure every new hire has what they need on day one, and that access is cleanly removed when someone leaves.

• Manage vendors and procurement: You’ll own relationships with our software and hardware vendors — selection, contracting, renewals, and spend tracking.

• Keep the basics tight: You’ll own foundational security hygiene (access management, device policies, SSO) in partnership with Engineering.

• Be the go-to for IT issues: When something breaks, you’re the first call — and you’re building the tooling and runbooks so fewer things break in the first place.

About you

• You’re the person people go to when something technical breaks and needs fixing now.

• You’re organized and process-minded, but not bureaucratic about it.

• You care about security fundamentals without needing to be a full‑time security engineer.

• You’re comfortable being a department of one, and building support systems from scratch.

What You’ll Bring

• 4+ years of experience in IT operations, systems administration, or a similar role, ideally at a startup.

• Experience managing SaaS tooling, device fleets, and vendor relationships.

• Working knowledge of core security practices (SSO, access management, device management).

• Strong organizational skills and a bias toward clear documentation.
