Job summary

Discord is seeking an IT Ops Engineer to be the modern generalist keeping employee technology running—from devices and identity to network, SaaS, collaboration, and endpoint security. You’ll work the shared IT support queue with the team and handle hands-on setup and live-event support in a fast-growing company.

The role emphasizes breadth over depth with opportunities to automate repetitive tasks, participate in on-call rotations, and grow toward owning a domain end-to-end.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience providing IT Helpdesk support.
• Experience administering backend IT systems (Okta, Jamf, etc.) in high-growth tech companies.
• Familiarity with SOC 2 or SOX access-review processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on IT support across devices, identity, network, SaaS, and endpoint security.
• Manage onboarding and offboarding to enable day-one productivity.
• Support conferencing and AV rooms and assist live events.
• Participate in on-call rotations and own selected automation projects.

Job description

• This is an IT Ops Engineer role, the modern generalist who keeps the whole employee technology surface running: devices, identity, network, SaaS, collaboration, and the endpoint security surface we share with Enterprise Security
• You work the shared queue alongside the team
• This is a growth role, a place to go broad across enterprise systems, build real depth, and grow toward owning a domain end to end
• Work the shared IT support queue alongside the team, helping Discordians with their day-to-day technology needs. This is core to the role for everyone on the team
• Support the full employee technology surface hands-on: device and endpoint setup (Jamf, Intune), identity and access basics (Okta), SaaS access, and the endpoint security tooling we run with Enterprise Security
• Keep the conferencing and AV rooms reliable, and be hands on deck to support live events. You keep the rooms working and support the event, not architect an AV build from scratch
• Run onboarding and offboarding so a new Discordian is equipped on day one and deprovisioned on exit
• Take on well-scoped projects with growing autonomy, and start turning the repetitive manual work you see in the queue into automation
• Participate in on-call rotations
