Responsibilities

While we are open to Remote candidates for this role, preference will be given to candidates located in Pascagoula, Norfolk, or Bath.

Noblis MSD has an opening for an IT Manager / NTCSS Database Administrator / NTCSS Computer Analyst to support weekday shiftwork duties, providing System Administrator support/services under the Fleet Support Services contract. This position will support 4 remote sites: Pascagoula, MS; Bath, ME; Norfolk, VA; and San Diego, CA.

Responsibilities Include
  • Manage IT and NTCSS support staff at each site.
  • Provide system administration support for NTCSS VM servers (Linux).
  • Create and maintain NTCSS databases (RADM, OMMS-NG & RSUPPLY) for new construction ships.
  • Respond to user trouble calls.
  • Conduct system backups and daily system checks.
  • Provide system maintenance and monitor interfaces.
  • Perform audits on SharePoint sites.

The candidate will serve as the primary contact for IT and NTCSS customers on assigned projects, leveraging knowledge of customer operations and business. Responsibilities include attracting, developing, engaging, and retaining talent, encouraging innovation, and building a high-performing team. The role involves working on complex issues of large scope, applying advanced knowledge, and resolving problems impacting cost and efficiency. You will operate under general direction, applying seasoned judgment independently, and managing a department, task order, or project subset of a larger contract. Your focus will be on planning, staffing, budgeting, delivering commitments, and ensuring operational excellence.

The role includes providing technical support, troubleshooting, implementing solutions, deploying new technologies, managing projects, and training users. Versatility and adaptability are essential to address a wide range of IT and NTCSS challenges.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in MIS, Business, CS, Mathematics, or related field with 8 years' experience, or a Master’s degree with 6 years', or a PhD with 4 years'.
  • At least 10 years supporting Naval Shipyards and Ship Maintenance Community.
  • At least 4 years in Navy Logistics Automated Information Systems.
  • At least 1 year leading or managing staff.
  • Relevant Navy training considered 'hands-on' experience.
  • Current Secret security clearance or ability to obtain one.
  • Must have or obtain a CompTIA Security+ certification within six months.
  • Must complete Linux OS training within six months.
  • 50% travel required.
  • Physical ability to lift 50 lbs and maneuver stairwells onboard ships.
Desired Qualifications
  • Former Navy/Marine Corps IT Technician with experience in NTCSS NALCOMIS/OOMA, NMCI, Microsoft Office, and project management.
  • Familiarity with FlankSpeed, .NET, Asset Management.
  • Obtain and maintain SCA (Site Collection Admin) certificate.
