Socket.dev is seeking an IT Network Technician to ensure smooth operation of voice and data networks at BlueWater Resort and Casino in Parker, AZ. The role covers wiring, network infrastructure, and support for wireless and public Internet networks.

Ideal candidates will have an Associate's Degree or two years of related experience, familiarity with telecom and network equipment, and the ability to work in a fast-paced casino environment with flexible scheduling.

Responsibilities

  • Administration and maintenance of the telephone system, including telephone switches and voicemail extensions.

  • Set up computers for new users and deliver equipment to users in different locations.
  • Provide 24/7 emergency coverage as assigned.
  • Ensure compliance with Federal, State and Tribal laws.

Job Details: Level: Experienced, Job Location: BlueWater Resort and Casino - Parker, AZ, Position Type: Full Time, Education Level: 2 Year Degree, Salary Range: $25.20Hourly, Job Shift: Any, Job Category: Information Technology, SUMMARY: The primary goal of the IT Network Technician is to ensure the smooth operation of the organizations voice and data network in order to provide maximum performance and availability for the system users. The IT Network Technician will provide services for wiring of network infrastructure and central office wiring including voice network. The IT Network Technician will also provide support for the wireless networks as well as public internet networks.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Administration and maintenance of the telephone system, including telephone switches, computers connected to telephone systems. Assists with the creation of new hire telephone and voicemail extensions, routing extensions to appropriate locations and updating information as seating assignments change. Understands the wiring and switch issues involved in administering and maintaining corporate WLAN, LAN and WAN. Works closely with other departments in planning and coordinating larger projects. Help administrate and maintain the hotel key lock system and work with security and front desk personnel for auditing purposes. Has a basic understanding of the issues involved with administering and maintaining corporate infrastructure, including network connectivity, internet, email, etc. Creates network and email accounts for new users. Sets up computers for new users and ensures delivery of equipment to users in different locations if necessary. Works close with all IT team members on projects and tasks. Twenty-four (24)-hour seven (7)-day operation requires emergency coverage assistance as assigned. Ensure compliance with Federal, State and Tribal laws. Has limited access to accounting and network systems as set by Director of Information Technology. Maintains slot system network and wiring. Maintains phone systems as well as assisting with hotel key lock systems. All other duties as assigned (non-gaming functions and issued gaming license permitting).

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

Associates Degree in the related field and/or two-year experience in related field. Casino experience preferred. Knowledge of computers, and slot machines. May be an entry level positions based upon level of schooling.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Indoor office environment. This position regularly works indoors. The noise level in the work environment is generally quiet to moderate and may become excessively noisy at times. Position is in a fast-paced environment. Smoke filled environment at times. Will have contact with employees, external agencies and the public.
