Ocean State Job Lot (OSJL) is seeking an IT Network Manager to own and operate our enterprise networking services across sites. You will manage WLAN/LAN, site-to-site VPN, SD-WAN, and secure connectivity, ensuring high availability for endpoints and store networks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field is required.
• 6+ years of experience delivering and managing enterprise network technology.
• Experience with TCP/IP, switching/routing and security appliances; advanced routing protocols.
• Wireless networks with APs and controllers; cloud managed networking (Meraki/Ruckus).
• VPN client services and site-to-site VPNs; cloud IaaS VPC configurations.

Responsibilities

Job Summary:

The IT Network Manager role at Ocean State Job Lot (“OSJL” and “Company”) is the primary owner of all networking services across the organization. They are responsible for delivering various networking technologies including internal wired and wireless networks, private site-to-site connectivity, and access to public networks through internet service providers. This position serves as the primary subject matter expert and enforces industry standard best practices across all physical and virtual networks in the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide deep technical expertise on enterprise networking technology including WLAN/LAN, site to site tunneling, SDWAN, and Internet connectivity.
• Lead the technical design of new network infrastructure and services to support business needs and network-dependent solution deployments.
• Take ownership of all physical and virtual network infrastructure within the organization ensuring stable, high performance connectivity for endpoints wherever needed.
• Ensure uninterrupted network services by structuring comprehensive maintenance programs for network infrastructure components that covers product lifecycle, firmware updates, and HA/DR testing.
• Establish and maintain health monitoring practices across all network infrastructure in order to proactively minimize service disruption.
• Manage third party internet service providers to provide connectivity from OSJL sites to public networks.
• Cultivate and disseminate knowledge of network best practices; seek out opportunities to leverage best practices.
• Provide escalated hands-on technical support such as incident response and root cause analysis and resolution.
• Research and provide recommendations and guidance on emerging network technologies.
• Mentor and provide functional and technical oversight to the Network tTeam.
• Ensure that system documentation is organized and kept current.
• Maintain site-to-site connectivity between geographically separated corporate, distribution center, and store locations leveraging SDWAN and VPN technology.
• Ensure appropriate security measures are taken to properly segment and restrict traffic across all parts of the network.
• Work with vendor resources to supplement implementations and address physical network infrastructure requirements such as structured cabling, racking, and hardware enclosures.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, or a related field is required.
• 6 or more years experience delivering and managing enterprise network technology is required.
• Experience in the following is required:
• Standard client network protocols (TCP/IP);
• Configuring layered enterprise switching, routing, and security appliances;
• Advanced routing protocols for fault tolerance and loop protection;
• Configuring wireless networks including access points and controllers;
• Cloud managed network hardware (Meraki, Ruckus, or something similar);
• Packet inspection and network diagnostic tools;
• Configuring VPN client services and site to site VPN tunnels;
• Cloud IaaS VPC configuration or at least exposure to networking environments that incorporate public cloud environments (GCP, AWS, Azure, etc.);
• Managing third party vendor services for network hardware deployments, wiring installation, and internet circuit installation; and
• Network diagramming and technical documentation skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google platform (i.e., Sites, Slides, Drive, Docs, Sheets).
• Works primarily in a climate controlled environment with minimal safety and health hazard
  potential.
• Hybrid work option: Some work may be completed outside of the Company locations, with at least three (3) days a week in the Corporate Office.
