Job summary

The Metropolitan Water District of Southern California is seeking an IT Network Engineer III to design, maintain, and support its enterprise network. The role focuses on Cisco/Arista routing, switching, Palo Alto firewalls, F5 load balancers, IPAM/DNS/DHCP, and fiber infrastructure across campus, data center, and cloud environments.

Hybrid work is in effect with in-office and remote days. Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of experience are required, along with CCNA or equivalent certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 4+ years of relevant network engineering experience.
• CCNA or equivalent certification (Cisco/Palo Alto/Arista/F5).

Responsibilities

• Design and support enterprise network infrastructure.
• Monitor and troubleshoot network hardware and software.
• Configure, upgrade, and test network systems.
• Provide solutions for service requests with a customer-focused approach.
• Support CIP cybersecurity initiatives and system improvements.
• Design and support Cisco/Arista routing and switching, Palo Alto firewalls, F5 load balancers, IPAM/DNS/DHCP, and fiber infrastructure.
