Job summary

Howmet Aerospace is seeking a skilled IT Support professional to provide end-user, IT, and OT support across manufacturing facilities in multiple states. You will troubleshoot Windows, Microsoft 365, and hardware issues while collaborating with IT, engineering, and maintenance teams to improve processes.

The role involves managing incidents in ServiceNow, supporting network installations, and contributing to security and change-management practices in a high-demand production environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of experience supporting IT equipment, applications, networks, or manufacturing technology.
• Working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft 365, hardware troubleshooting, and basic networking.
• Exposure to IT/OT concepts and security practices is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot computers, peripherals, software, user access, and M365 issues.
• Manage incidents and service requests in ServiceNow with documented resolutions.
• Support onboarding/offboarding and equipment deployments, asset records.
• Follow security, access, and change-management procedures.

Job Schedule: Full time

Export-Controlled Data: This position entails access to export-controlled items and employment offers are conditioned upon an applicant's ability to lawfully obtain access to such items.

Responsibilities

Provide technical support for workplace IT, networking, and operational technology within a manufacturing environment across multiple facilities across multiple states. The role combines end-user support with involvement in process control systems (PCS), connected production equipment, and technology improvements. Working alongside divisional IT, engineering, and maintenance teams, the successful candidate will investigate issues, support approved changes, and develop broader IT/OT capabilities.

IT Support

• Troubleshoot computers, peripherals, approved software, user access, and Microsoft 365 issues.
• Manage incidents and service requests through ServiceNow, documenting resolutions and communicating progress.
• Support equipment deployment, maintenance, asset records, and employee onboarding and off boarding.
• Follow established security, access, and change-management procedures.
• Participate in compliance testing as required
• Ability to lead small projects

Network & Operational Technology Support

• Investigate wired and wireless connectivity issues and assist with approved network installations and changes.
• Assist with troubleshooting and maintaining process control systems, connected manufacturing equipment, and related interfaces under technical guidance.
• Participate in approved system updates, backups, equipment replacements, testing, and technology improvements.
• Support IT/OT security standards and maintain accurate system, equipment, and connectivity documentation.
• Develop technical skills through cross-training and participation in manufacturing technology projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required
• 5+ years of relevant experience supporting IT equipment, applications, networks, or manufacturing technology.
• Working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft 365, hardware troubleshooting, and basic networking.
• Strong analytical, customer-service, communication, and documentation skills.
• Ability to take ownership of assigned issues, follow technical procedures, and recognize when specialist assistance is required.
• Exposure to process control, industrial networking, automation, or connected manufacturing equipment is beneficial.
• Relevant technical qualification or equivalent practical experience, with a willingness to develop across IT and OT.
• Travel between 15-25% is expected to support needs across the business.
