THE POSITION

As an IT Manager - Network Engineer, you will be responsible for project and operational support of network infrastructure for Honeywell Advanced Materials and Solstice Advanced Materials ISC Plant Control Networks (upon conveyance in late 2025 or early 2026). The candidate will be supporting all networks globally including backbone, MPLS, SD-WAN, LAN, and wireless.

You will report to the IT Director of Data Center & Networking who is also responsible for data center, colo, and cloud compute. This role will work out of our Morris Plains, Charlotte or Houston location on a hybrid work schedule. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to understand business requirements and provide technical expertise in network solutions.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or the correct Industrial Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, etc.
  • 5+ years of experience with backbone networks, MPLS, SD-WAN circuits, LAN and wireless
  • 3+ years of experience as a network engineer with Cisco gear
  • 3+ years of experience of demonstrated network troubleshooting
  • 2+ years of experience with Visio or similar for creating networking diagrams
  • 2+ years of experience with dashboarding or analytics experience with network KPIs and logs
  • Demonstrated experience in network architecture, deployment and support of site wide networks
  • Demonstrated knowledge of all different fiber and copper types and their appropriate uses
PREFERRED
  • Experience with Zscaler Implementation
  • Experience in driving digital transformation and change management
  • Strong vendor management skills & experience working across geographies
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with network security best practices and technologies.
  • Experience with network monitoring and management tools.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based networking solutions.
  • Continuous learning and self-motivation.

This position is intended to convey to the new, independent company, to be named Solstice Advanced Materials when the separation occurs. This is expected to occur in late 2025 or early 2026.
