Job summary

Global Compression Services in Houston, TX is seeking a hands-on IT Manager to lead our information technology infrastructure, security, and support across headquarters and field locations. The role balances day‑to‑day operations with strategic modernization in a lean, fast‑moving environment, reporting directly to senior leadership.

The IT Manager will oversee ERP, cybersecurity, MSP relationships, budgeting, and a small team while ensuring uptime, data protection, and scalable systems across

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive IT experience including leadership/management
• Strong communication skills to translate technical concepts for non‑technical stakeholders
• Experience supporting multi‑site or distributed organizations
• Experience managing relationships with MSPs and vendors
• Hands‑on knowledge of network infrastructure, Windows/Azure, Microsoft 365, and endpoint management

Responsibilities

• Oversee IT infrastructure, networks, cloud platforms, and endpoints across HQ and 12+ service centers
• Manage MSP relationships, SLAs, vendor performance, and third‑party partnerships
• Ensure high availability of business systems; lead incident response and DR planning
• Administer ERP/CRM/field service management systems; coordinate upgrades and integrations
• Maintain IT security programs, policies, and training; monitor threats and incidents
• Provide field and remote support to North America and align IT with business strategy
• Develop IT budget and roadmap; mentor staff and coordinate with MSP where applicable
