Job summary

ARKA Group L.P. in Aurora, CO seeks an IT Manager, Business Systems to lead a small IT team, manage day-to-day operations of IT systems, and deliver technical solutions for both classified and unclassified environments.

Reporting to IT leadership, you will partner with business stakeholders, drive initiatives, monitor uptime, security, patching, and compliance, and mentor staff to build resilience for mission success.

Qualifications

• 7+ years hands-on IT/sys or network administration.
• 0-3 years leadership experience including project leadership.
• Experience with classified systems.
• Strong prioritization and organization to manage multiple projects.
• Ability to communicate risks and opportunities clearly to all levels.
• Hands-on with cloud, VM/Windows/Linux, monitoring tools, and automation.

Responsibilities

• Daily hands-on management of local IT team across classified/unclassified environments.
• Partner with business stakeholders and ARKA IT managers on technical initiatives.
• Identify enhancements or gaps in technical solutions.
• Oversee local IT projects with planning, staffing, monitoring, and reporting.
• Prioritize diverse workload with changing priorities.
• Mentor and train team members; identify growth opportunities.
• Establish KPIs for IT effectiveness and uptime.
• Collaborate with IA to ensure security and compliance.
• Communicate IT changes to end users to minimize downtime.
• Provide hands-on escalated support when needed.
