Job summary

AHJV, a joint venture of Alternate Concepts, Inc. and Herzog Transit Services, is seeking an IT Manager for Hudson Bergen Light Rail operations in Hudson County, New Jersey.

The role leads IT strategy, security, and service delivery, reporting to the Asset Manager, coordinating with NJ TRANSIT and technology partners. You will direct IT staff and vendors, manage budgets, ensure continuity, implement cybersecurity controls, and maintain documentation and business resilience for 24/7 transit

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, Cybersecurity or related field.
• 7+ years IT experience with 3+ in supervisory roles.
• Experience in high-availability operations and transit context preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead IT operations and strategy for AHJV's transit IT environment.
• Manage day-to-day IT services and 24/7 support.
• Oversee infrastructure, networks, and security controls.
• Coordinate IT with operations and vendors; ensure business continuity.
• Develop and manage budgets and project plans.
• Ensure data governance and reporting using Power BI and SQL.
