Job Description

The IT Manager position, located in Wilsonville, OR, will be responsible for the setup and maintenance of all company devices and software, managing their security, and supporting users in resolving hardware and software issues. This includes coordinating with our outside IT support team and monitoring IT tickets. The role also involves employee software training and development, assessing needs, and supporting program development.

Duties & Responsibilities
IT Management & Support
  • Act as the liaison between staff and our external IT Managed Service Provider (MSP). Train employees on submitting IT support tickets and document issues.
  • Monitor IT support tickets for timely resolution.
  • Coordinate with MSP for hardware, software, and network system setup, configuration, testing, and upgrades.
  • Provide troubleshooting for onboarding, device setup, network access, and other IT needs.
  • Set up and configure laptops, install software, and grant access for new hires. Provide initial IT orientation and support.
  • Maintain an inventory of IT equipment, licenses, and software. Manage procurement, deployment, and decommissioning of IT assets.
  • Support compliance with Department of Defense (DOD) and federal cybersecurity requirements, including making upgrade recommendations.
  • Monitor cybersecurity practices and recommend improvements.
  • Assist in transitioning from on-premise to cloud-based systems, coordinating with MSP and internal teams, and training staff.
  • Lead evaluation and implementation of system upgrades to improve performance and user experience.
Systems Training
  • Promote and support adoption of Microsoft Office 365, Adobe, and other tools.
  • Identify training needs, develop or source training resources, and gather feedback.
  • Coordinate training sessions and maintain training records.
Required Education, Experience, And Skills
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • Relevant certifications are a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and supporting users in a Microsoft environment.
  • Knowledge of cloud systems like Microsoft Azure and administration tools.
  • Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Experience with IT asset management and cloud transition.
  • Experience in developing and delivering training.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to support in-office and remote staff, and willingness to travel between locations.
